 Do you know why we can see many red things during Spring Festival? Listen to this story with me!  

    I read the picture book year of the monster this summer holiday. This story mainly tells that on the last night of each year, on New Year's Eve, the ferocious monster year will go to sea and enter the village, destroying houses and crops, and it also eats people and livestock. People are looking for the weakness of Nian, but the monster year is invulnerable. Therefore, every time the monster year comes, many people will be eaten by Nian. Therefore, people flee far away. When the monster year comes, all the villagers hide in the cave and dare not approach the beast, for fear of being eaten by the beast. On the day when the year of the monster came, an old beggar came to the village. He was very hungry. An old woman gave him some water and food. The old man said, "thank you for giving me something to eat." the old woman said, "after you finish eating, follow the people to the mountain!" The old man refused. He said, "I can help you drive away the monster year." Grandma can't help it. It's time for Nian beast to come. Nian beast broke into the village. It found that there was no one in the village, and the door of the old lady's house was pasted with red paper, and the candles in the house were bright. Nian beast felt very strange. He glared for a moment and rushed over. When we reached the gate, there were all kinds of frightening explosions in the yard. The Nian beast was so frightened that he dared not go forward. At this time, the door of the old woman's home was wide open. There was an old man in a red robe standing there, and firecrackers were crackling. Nian was afraid and ran away. It turns out that Nian beast is most afraid of red, fire and explosion. The next day, the people who came back from the refuge were surprised to see that the village was safe and sound. At this time, as soon as the old woman remembered the old man, she hurriedly told the villagers what the old man said when he drove away the new year beast. The villagers went to grandma's house together. They saw red paper pasted on the door of grandma's house, a pile of unburned firecrackers in the yard, and several red candles. They understood the way to deal with the new year beast. In order to celebrate the arrival of auspicious days, the villagers put on new clothes and hats, and went to the homes of relatives and friends to say hi.               

The story soon spread in the surrounding villages, and people understood the way to drive away the Nian beast.

   This story tells us that we should fight against evil forces bravely, go forward bravely, and create our own happy life.
